If you’re looking for a decent audio experience then my impartial Sennheiser HD595 review can help you to make your decision.

All in all, my experience of these headphones is positive, especially taking into account the excellent sound quality, price and comfort.

The experience of listening to several different music genres and acoustic sounds on this pair of headphones left me with a very good impression.

Sennheiser HD595 Review – Features

Main features

The HD595 are circumaural, which means they obviously cover the ears and are not inside the ear.

The first feature that struck me was the very lightweight design. The voice coils are made of aluminum, which as you probably know is a very light resistant to erosion. It also helps to contribute to the quality of the audio, rendering the cans more efficient and avoiding audio loss.

The HD595 weight only 9.6 ounces or 272 grams, which is fairly exceptional for high quality headphones.

What also stood out for me, besides the light weight and high quality performance, was the comfort.

The Sennheiser HD595 velour earpads which are soft, appear to allow air to circulate for longer listening and never heat up. The comfort even after 4 or 5 hours of wearing is still high, unlike certain other models which become either hot or uncomfortable after 2 or 3 hours.

Specific features

Noise blocking – the around the ear design is fairly good for preventing noise interfering with your listening experience.

Noise distribution – people around you can hear what you’re listening to a bit more than I would have liked. If privacy is what you need, these aren’t the best model.

Comfort – The design is very friendly and soft, staying on your head but without you noticing them too much.

Audio signals – the increased signal levels mean that most music genres sound great. You might need to add an amp to improve the experience.

Accessories – The Sennheiser HD595 comes with a nice little pouch and extension cable if you need to be further away from your listening device. There is also a useful clamp to attach the cans to a table when you need to take a break or do something else.

Headphone amp requirement – For certain music listeners, increasing the bass levels may be necessary. Most types of sounds and music sound fine, but if you listen to hip hop or funk more than anything else, you might like to consider a headphone amp that boosts the lower end of the sound.

Sennheiser HD595 Review – Pros And Cons

– Fantastic sound quality

– Excellent comfort and lightweight

– Good, solid and resistant, with parts that can be changed for longer lasting headphones

– Noise blocking is fairly good, although you can hear if someone addresses you directly and are not deaf to the outside world!

– Accessories, especially the clamp and long cable, are very useful

– The high quality is available at a good price = value

– You might need a headphone amp to appreciate quality with all types of music

– Other people might hear some sounds from your headphones, not so good for privacy

Sennheiser HD595 Review – In Summary

In summary, an excellent pair of headphones in terms of quality and value. The audio and acoustic clarity is what impressed me the most and the comfort of these cans is easily superior to that of others in its price range.

It would have been better if Sennheiser had made it impossible for others to hear sounds emanating from the headphones, but considering their quality and comfort, the price for these headphones is a very good deal.
