Get DJ Gigs

Can Knowing How To DJ Get You Lots Of Girls?

You’ve heard it before, a guy how knows how to DJ can get any girl he wants right?

A top DJ at least? Or even the guy who does the trailer park BBQ disco on Sunday nights? They both know how to DJ.

Hmm. Interesting one. Quite simply, it depends on a number of factors.

You can’t just assume that because you play, it automatically means you’ll get loads of attention from the opposite sex. It’s not always like that.

You should be DJing for the right reasons as well, and not just because you think you’ll get loads of action.

So, my take on this is that there are several different levels of DJ in this world, all with different degrees of pulling power.

Hot girls who like the DJObviously, you have to pull off an excellent set with good music selection and the people have to feel that you know how to DJ too.

The better tunes you play, the more attention you’ll get. If you really get the crowd hot, they’ll be all emotional and excited before even speaking to you.

But don’t bad DJs get lots of action too?

Yes there are some good looking guys who are average, don’t know how to DJ well and yet, get plenty of attention too, without being that good.

That’s because they look attractive to people.

But don’t think that’ll happen to you. Make sure you play a great set, every single time.

We’ll go into that in a bit.

Bear in mind that if you’re overweight, old, unattractive, smelly, you dress badly or if you’re unpleasant with an attitude problem, these will obviouslyreduce your chances of having girls come on to you.

Having said that, in some places the girls just don’t care.

The Superstar DJ

We’re looking at the top DJs here. From the so called top 100 to guys that get big room booked gigs, this one’s pretty obvious to anyone.

These guys can get girls at the flick of an eyelid. They get groupie girls following them around. They just ignore most of them and only take the best looking or sexiest ones when they feel like it. Matron! Bring a towel.

Pull power rating: 98-100%

The top club DJ

These guys get to play before the big name DJs and in most of the best places.

They’re often as good as the main guys, but without the hype. They probably get more action than the main guys, because they’re less in the spotlight.

Pull power rating: 92-95%

The club resident

The club resident deejay is your regular slot man at the weekends at the local top club in a city like Manchester or San Francisco for example.

He’s pretty cool and trusted by the owners to whip up a frenzy, almost every time.

He doesn’t get many gigs in other cities, but probably could do if he tried. He DJs for a living.

He gets plenty of attention and is a local star. Girls recognise him and his rep improves if he looks good especially.

Pull power rating: 75-80%

The club and cool bar guy

These guys are pretty cool DJs but don’t necessarily play out for a living. It’s a hobby which they get paid reasonably well for.

The mix in clubs sometimes and in cool and fashionable bars with dancefloors other times. They know their stuff pretty well.

They have other activities too, alongside DJing.

As long as they look ok, they get plenty of interest from ladies too. Especially when club DJing. However, they have to play decent tunes and make people enjoy themselves to get action.

A poor deejay at this level won’t get much chance of action. But a guy who rocks the place will.

Generally, these guys may not get ladies falling over each other to jump into bed with them. But it does happen sometimes.

They do get a good rep in their social circles for being a cool party DJ and their status is definitely improved with the girls they know and meet thanks to this.

Pull power rating: 55-60%

The bar, pub and party DJ

The guys that play out in bars can also be pretty cool. Many of them are pros at knowing how to DJ and can cook up a good night.

Some bars are great fun to have a night out at and if the music’s good, everyone can be dancing on top of the tables and even on the bar.

They are also known amongst friends for being able to cook up a decent atmos at a party and are often asked by friends to “take care of the music”.

But some nights there aren’t many people around and on many occasions, they get no attention from any ladies. Not that this matters though.

On other occasions though, they do get some girls asking them what they’re doing later.

Pull power rating: 20-25%

The mobile and wedding DJ

These fellas often make a living from doing functions and weddings.

Their image is generally of a guy who’s 40 or 50 years old, and looks it!

They are friendly enough, but aren’t really in the game for women. They just do their job and then leave.

Which is a good thing too, because hardly any women are interested in them. Unless they get some drunk, distressed lady at a wedding.

Pull power rating: 8%

Trailer park BBQ Deejay

Hmm. This guy does Sunday nights at the trailer park disco BBQ and pulls out all the latest top 40 hits.

He also manages to shout through the microphone in between every Rihanna, Gaga or Beyoncé tune that goes on.

Plenty of alcohol is consumed, so if he doesn’t get into a fight for refusing to play Flo Rida or Katy Perry’s latest floorfiller, he probably has a better chance of getting action than the Mobile DJs.

Pull power rating: 6%

Old people’s home Deejay

This guy is brought in purely to entertain the elderly folk.

Don’t laugh, we’ll all be old one day.

He bangs out hits by Vera Jones and Edith Piaf.

But unless some lady got her medication mixed up, he won’t be getting action anytime soon. Unless he gets lucky with the the horny kitchen staff that is.

Pull power rating: -2%

What do you think. Is this fair enough or bullshit? Let me know either way. Leave a comment in the box below.

But, make sure you read this too..

In some places, you get much more attention than others  😆

In the US and the UK for example, girls seem to come on to you just because you’re DJing.

In other countries, it’s more about who you are as a person rather than knowing how to DJ.

I haven’t played everywhere in the world, but can tell you that most times I’ve had a girl be a bit “forward” with me, they’ve been from either the UK, USA or Canada.

Yep. Cultural differences my friend.

Likewise, in some meat market place where everyone’s drunk, you’ll get girls ready to do anything with you right away, even if you look like Quasi Modo.
